An earlier eThekwini release described a R220m Leroy Merlin Cornubia store development of 10,000m². The municipality said at the time that the store was expected to open in November 2026.
The source also presented the store as an anchor investment in Cornubia Business Park. Because the opening date is a forecast made in 2025, Civic Ledger does not treat it as a confirmed opening date.
What it means
The project record keeps the stated investment and planned opening attached to the dated municipal source. A later completion or opening notice is needed to update the milestone.
