Beachwood Coastal Estate

Redevelopment of the former Beachwood Golf Course on a site of a little over 42 hectares in Durban North. The land was formerly zoned Private Open Space. eThekwini created a site-specific Special Zone: Beachwood Coastal Estate and approved subdivision, title-condition and servitude changes for the development. The operative environmental approval described in the 2026 High Court judgment permits the current northern development area of a little over nine hectares; authorisation for the larger southern portion had been suspended pending further work.
